Uploading Documents

Step 1 & 2
Uploading documents is basically the same as creating a regular hyperlink. Highlight the text you wish to use as your document hyperlink (Step 1) then select the Hyperlink Manager icon.(Step 2)

Step 3
If your document is hosted on another website then put the full URL of the document into the URL field. (eg: www.icologi.com.au/documents/example.pdf). If you are hosting the document on your own server then  select the 'Browse Server' button.(Step 3)

Steps 4 to 6
Select 'File ' from the Link Type options list (Step 4) and specify the 'docs/' folder as the File Location (Step 5). If your document has already been uploaded through the File Manager then it will appear as one of the options in the File Name drop down list. If this is the case you can skip forward to Step 9.

If you haven't uploaded the document or it doesn't appear in the drop down list select 'Upload New File' (Step 6b)

Steps 7 & 8
Select 'Browse...' to open your computer's file explorer. Once you have located the desired file double click it to bring it's location information into the File Name field. (Step 7) To upload the document select 'Upload Selected File' (Step 8)

Step 9
Select 'Use selected link'

Step 10
Now that your document is uploaded and ready to use we want to ensure that it opens in a new browser window; this way your website visitor doesn't experience any difficulty returning to the page they were on when they clicked the document hyperlink.

Step 11 & 12
Choose 'New Window (_blank)' from the Target dropdown list (Step 11). Complete the procedure by selecting the 'OK' button.
